About Me
My name is Drake Scallon and I am from Austin, Texas. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving the Greater Austin community, I am passionate about providing individuals science-based strategies for wellness and creating a safe, nurturing space for trauma recovery.
Using an interdisciplinary approach, I utilize clinical neurobiology and evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness techniques to effectively treat presenting symptoms.

Whether you're new to therapy or have been seeing therapists for many years, thank you for having the courage to ask for help. Having an extensive background working with adults, couples, families, and youth ages (6-18), I feel confident guiding you toward your treatment goals. I currently accept Aetna, Quest Behavioral Health, and Optum (Oxford, Oscar, & United) for insurance.

Couples Therapy
Couples facing challenges can benefit from specialized therapy services. I work with couples to give them a space to process the past and develop a plan for the future. My goal is to help each partner understand each other on deeper levels to foster intimacy and connection.
Trauma
Recovering from trauma requires trauma-informed care and empathetic support. Utilizing a psycho-somatic approach, I help individuals develop a healthy relationship with their bodies, process and heal from traumatic experiences, and foster resilience.
Youth Therapy (6-18)
Adolescence can be challenging, with many phases of big emotions. I provide a safe space for adolescents and teens to express themselves, build coping skills, and process the obscurities of growing up. As the child navigates the developmental cycles, I will provide developmentally appropriate skills and parenting resources to meet the entire family's needs.
